Top states for agricultural jobs

The website agcareers.com says Iowa is the top state for ag jobs in the U.S.

In its 2015 Jobs Report, the ag-specific job board for recruitment cites Iowa’s strong corn and pork production as reasons for remaining on top.

California trails closely behind according to the list, with diverse agriculture noted for providing employment opportunities.

Illinois, Nebraska and Texas round out the top five.

Other Brownfield states that made ag career’s top 10 include Minnesota at number six, Indiana at number nine and Wisconsin at 10.

The report also says there was a 26 percent increase in the number of jobs posted on ag careers dot come last year, suggesting steady growth in the agriculture industry.
