Operations Editor 2016-05-26 16:42 UTC by webmaster@cbo.gov (Webmaster)The Management, Business, and Information Services Division seeks an Operations Editor, a role that combines both editing the agency’s work products and coordinating the day-to-day processes of editing and publishing those products. The editing involves making analytical and technical reports clear and accessible to a broad audience––including Members of Congress, Congressional staff, researchers, and other members of the public. The task routinely involves substantive editing but also includes reviewing and reorganizing drafts, providing writing assistance, and rewriting portions of drafts. Coordination responsibilities include assisting the Managing Editor by tracking drafts, formulating schedules, proposing work assignments, and compiling guidelines and instructions for authors and editors as needed to advance major projects.
