Yes, you don’t need to tell me exactly what this looks like! Only, this one is divided in the middle and has fabric ear hooks. I’ve already investigated the curious (to us) heated panty liner that a friend brought me back from Japan last year (HERE). Actually, I will flag up that although this was bought in Japan, it might well be Korean. I have neither language so no way to know. But, it does show that there are cultural differences in whether to heat or to cool. I think it’s our natural stance for eyes or elsewhere to believe they should be cooled, rather than heated.
You can see the ear hooks in this picture. As soon as the eye mask comes out of the packet it starts to warm up – it doesn’t get very hot but there is distinct warming feeling. I stopped feeling like an idiot with a panty liner on my face after a few minutes and actually, it was quite a lovely sensation but I didn’t feel it did me any ‘good’ as such.
As you will know, I love a quirky find, and this fits the bill. After having blasted my eyes with Japan’s most ‘minty’ eye drops earlier in the week, this was a gentle experience in comparison!

Hi, I actually bought this (the lavender version) during a recent business trip to Taiwan. I believe is Japanese though, as the writings are def in Japanese.
I have tried it during my flight back home and found it actually quite relaxing..
However I have to agree with you on looking for a cooling action for my eyes, but I was intrigued by it.
In addition to this, I also bought the “cooling version” that looks marketed more to men (? why?) but have not tried it yet.
I love these! Forced relaxation! I use them on the plane overnight, it’s nice to have something pleasant smelling and feels like a treat.
Ah I know what these are for!
I have dry eyes and get weird yellow blobs/ cysts on my waterline. my optician said to use a warm compress over my eyes and then massage the tops of my cheek bones and just under my eyebrows and tah dah no more dry eyeballs. I do this once a day it’s amazing saves putting drops in. Only works if your eyes are dry because of meibomian gland dysfunction though
Are these available in the US? I have severe dry eye syndrome and do nightly warm compresses to help open the oil glands inside the rim of eyelids (Meibomian glands). These would be perfect for travel! The warm compresses are great for dry eyes.
I don’t know but I think you would be able to find on Amazon.
I am Korean and can certainly confirm that this is a Japanese product. I was recently given one as a gift but hadn’t had the chance to put it to use so now I know exactly what to expect!
