Job Title: Faculty Officer

The University invites application for the position of Faculty Officer. The main purpose of this position is to ensure that the lifecycle of a student is carried out operationally as defined by the Dean of the Faculty, and the Faculty Officer will be the first point of contact for most faculty enquiries. The incumbent will be expected to:

• Capture student records.
• Select student applicants.
• Handle problems related to applications.
• Advise management on graduation matters.
• Advise on enrolment and course progression.
• Sign-off the registration approval of students.
• Act as custodian of the current students’ academic record.
• Represent students of the faculty on academic matters.
• Source all documentation pertaining to the lifecycle of the student.
• Plan and oversee the logistics related to examinations and graduations for the faculty.
• Act as a link between the students in the faculty and faculty’s management on academic matters.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject.
• Two years’ experience in Office Administration, preferably in a department or faculty within a    higher education setting
• Two years using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook in an office setting.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills,

• Good knowledge of academic regulations.
• Good knowledge of university policies and procedures.
• Student administration experience
• Archives and Record Management
