w&w Belated 2nd Birthday Bash | Felt Heart with Lydia

Hi there and happy Wednesday Winnie & Walter fans! It's Lydia here with you today and I'm sharing a project that would be great for Kate's Anything But A Card Belated Birthday Challenge.

I have made a cute little Valentine's gift/decoration using some of the fabulous Cutaways and some felt.

Eeeeek, how cute is it!??!?! For the main heart shape I have used a die coming up in the next release (shhhhh it's a sneaky peek), I cut two of the hearts out of a light pink felt. I stitched a scallop onto the bottom heart before stitching the two together, that way I could hide all of the excess felt that I didn't want to show from the scallop- so what did I use for the scallop I hear you ask? Well I cut two long pieces of dark pink felt and then cut these again using the large frame die from Essentials: Noelle Cutaways, now I had two strips with the scallops on to use. After adding the scallop I added some filler in between the hearts and stitched them together-adding a little twine to the top to hang.

For the focus on the heart I cut three of the dies from Take A Bow Cutaways - the ones to create the large bow- out of a light mint felt. I stitched these together to make the bow up and then layered this up onto a little scalloped circle using Essentials: Audrey Cutaways with cream felt and a dark pink felt circle.

I really hope you like my little Valentine's gift and I'll see you again soon.

Hugs Lydia x
