WATCH: Stephen Colbert Celebrates 'Happy Ending' of Iowa Caucus in His Own Hilarious Way

Video

Stephen Colbert is really excited that something has actually finally happened in the 2016 presidential election. "It's a happy ending to the long, drawn-out caucus tease," the comedian quipped Monday night.

Since he tapes his show at 5pm, Colbert did not yet know who won in Iowa. But he was pretty certain he knew who lost—Jeb!, whose super PAC spent $15 million in political ads in Iowa to no avail. (Rand Paul beat Jeb Bush. Rand Paul!)

"But we know ads can't help that much," Colbert said, "because if they did, Flo the Progressive lady would win."

Since campaigning in Iowa involves a lot of "sucking up to Big Corn," Colbert closed by making this promise: "I am celebrating who won Iowa by only eating foods with high fructose corn syrup ... so all foods."
