Highway bill language reverses crop insurance cuts

Congressional leaders appear to be keeping their promise to reverse the three billion dollars in cuts to crop insurance that were part of last month’s budget agreement.

According to House Ag Committee chairman Mike Conaway, language to restore the cuts has been attached to a compromise highway bill which is expected to pass through Congress this week.
