Update: NM Roads officials warn of icy roadways in Lincoln County

Hail during a recent storm in Lincoln County made driving on US 380 like maneuvering on ball bearings.

New Mexico Road Conditions Caution:

US 380  from Capitan to Lincoln has black ice and hazardous driving conditions.  Motorists should reduce speed and proceed with caution.  NMDOT is salting the road.

Difficult Driving Conditions: US 380 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 43 to mile marker 50

US 380 west of Carrizozo - Roads are icy in spots.  Motorists should reduce their speed and watch for ice on bridges and culverts.  NMDOT crew will be salting as needed.

Difficult Driving Conditions: New Mexico 48 northbound and southbound from mile marker 0 to mile marker 22 Capitan to Ruidoso

Difficult Driving Conditions: New Mexico 37 northbound and southbound from mile marker 0 to mile marker 10 Nogal - Ruidoso

Difficult Driving Conditions: New Mexico 246 from mile marker 0 Capitan to mile marker 37 Pine Lodge Road

Difficult Driving Conditions:  US 380 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 85 Capitan to mile marker 89 west of Capitan

Difficult Driving Conditions: New Mexico 220 from mile marker 0 to mile marker 16 Ruidoso Airport Rd.

Freezing Rain - Roads are icy. Motorists should reduce speed and proceed with caution. NMDOT Crew will be salting and cindering.
