Orlando Police say a standoff with an armed suicidal man ended peacefully several hours after it started Tuesday night.
The situation unfolded about 8 p.m. in the Waters Edge Community just off of Hartford Maroon Road near Lake Nona.
A crisis negotiator, mobile operations vehicle, and SWAT team were called to the scene. Police cruisers were parked in residents’ driveways and neighbors were evacuated.
OPD officials said Wednesday morning that the man had surrendered.
