Two people died in separate crashes near Altamonte Springs and Lake Nona Friday night, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

In Lake Nona, 64-year-old Olga Morales-Ramirez of St. Cloud was killed after the motorcycle she was a passenger on struck a deer, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.

Morales-Ramirez was sitting behind Herman Ramirez, 66, riding north on Narcoossee Road at Laureate Boulevard near Lake Nona around 8:30 p.m., Montes said.

The motorcycle struck a deer, and Morales-Ramirez was thrown onto the road, Montes said.

She was hit by two passing cars and died at the scene, Montes said.

Drivers of both cars that hit Morales-Ramirez stayed at the scene of the crash, Montes said.

Ramirez did not require medical treatment, Montes said.

The northbound lanes of Narcoossee Road near and Laureate Boulevard were closed for several hours, Montes said.

Around 7:30 p.m., a pedestrian carrying a ladder across Robin Hill Drive at Palm Springs Drive, near Altamonte Springs, was struck and killed, Montes said.

David D’Amicol, 73 of Altamonte Springs, was pronounced dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The driver that struck him, a 43-year-old Altamonte Springs woman, was not injured.
