Missouri needs rain

Programs ICON

Dry weather helped Missouri farmers harvest last week, but the state needs precipitation.

Around a third of the state’s subsoil and almost 40% of topsoil are short of moisture, with another 20% of topsoil called very short.

85% of rice, 81% of corn, and 31% of soybeans are harvested, all faster than usual.

33% of winter wheat is planted and 11% has emerged, also faster than average.
