Warm, dry weather in Illinois last week allowed for plenty of harvest progress.

The USDA reports 71% of corn is harvested, a week to week jump of 21%, and 63% of soybeans are harvested, an increase of 13%.

41% of winter wheat is planted and 13% has emerged, both slightly faster than average.

On average, there was nearly a week available for fieldwork and temperatures were more than five degrees warmer than normal.
