Phil Lease Writers’ Group

Tularosa Basin Rockhounds

Tularosa Board of Education Regular Session

The Tularosa Board of Education will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Conference Room at the Administration Building located at 504 First Street, Tularosa, NM. This meeting is open to the public. Patrons who wish to address the Board should submit their request to the Superintendent one week prior to the Regular Session for the Board's consideration. This meeting is open to the public. Individuals with disabilities who need any form of auxiliary aid to attend or participate in this meeting, please contact the Superintendent's Office at 585–8800. Upon request with 10 days notice, public documents will be provided in the accessible form necessary to the individual requesting the particular auxiliary aid.

Otero County Conservatives

Otero County County Clerk Denise Guerra will be guest speaker. She will be discussing campaign rules and procedures for the upcoming 2016 election. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the New Heart Cowboy Church. Dinner will take palce at 5 p.m. at Hitch N Post BBQ. There will be information for those interested in running for an elected office. Rep. Yvette Herrell will also speak on the Convention of States movement. Alamogordo Library genealogy program

"Making Sense of the Census" is the October genealogy program at Alamogordo Public Library. It will be held in the Rhodes Room, Thursday, October 15, at 1 p.m. The library is located at 920 Oregon Ave. Please call 439-4148 for more information.

Apple Festival

The High Rolls Apple Festival will take place Oct. 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Otero County Tennis Tournament Sign-Up

Saturday, October 17, 2015 is the last date players may sign up for the Otero County Tennis Tournament. Interested players may find registration forms on the Alamogordo Tennis Association Facebook page, at the Oregon Tennis Courts, Holloman Fitness Center or by contacting gilli@beyondbb.com.
