Warford, Ngata miss practice; Levy on track for debut

Allen Park — After practicing in full Wednesday and Thursday, Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy is on track to make his season debut Sunday against the Cardinals (4:05 p.m., FOX), but the team could be without two of its best linemen.

Right guard Larry Warford missed practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday, which leaves his status for Sunday’s game in doubt. In addition to Warford, defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (calf) sat the past two days, and after the Lions signed another defensive tackle Thursday, Ishmaa'ily Kitchen, there’s reason to think he’s in danger of sitting.

Tight end Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring) was limited for the second straight day, but there’s a chance he’ll return Sunday after missing the last three games.

Warford aggravated his ankle injury in Week 3 and missed much of the game. He practiced fully on Thursday and Friday last week, but after being limited Saturday, he missed Week 4. Now, after being limited Wednesday and sitting Thursday, there’s a chance he’ll miss another game.

Linebacker Travis Lewis (ankle), running back Joique Bell (ankle) and tight end Eric Ebron (knee) were also out.

In addition to Pettigrew, defensive end Ezekiel Ansah (shoulder), safety James Ihedigbo (quad) and punter Sam Martin (left knee) were limited.

Cornerback Rashean Mathis (calf) was a full participant after being limited Wednesday, and wide receiver Lance Moore (ankle) and offensive tackle Corey Robinson (ankle) practiced in full for the second straight day.
