Iowa’s soybean harvest advanced 25 percent last week

harvest sceneIowa farmers harvested a quarter of the state’s 10 million acres of soybeans last week.

According to the weekly crop progress report, soybean harvest advanced from seven percent to 32 percent complete, which is one day behind the five-year average.

Corn harvest stood at 13 percent, eight days behind average. The moisture content of all corn being harvested was 21 percent, down three points from the previous week.
