Canadian grain buyers come to Michigan
The U.S. Grains Council and the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan hosted Canadian grain buyers at the end of July.
Angel Jenio with Michigan Corn says there is a lot of integration in the Canadian market, but there are still a lot of opportunities to increase trade. She tells Brownfield the tour was about highlighting what the U.S. can do for Canada and what Michigan has to offer.
“The Canadians import a lot of DDGS from us, and in fact their imports are up more than 80 percent since this period last year.”
Jenio says the visit included an ethanol plant tour, farm tours and educational sessions.
