Four Smart Ways to Manager Your Credit (and Credit Score)

Bible resources come in handy when teaching your kiddos.  The Gospel Story Bible is one of those resources.  This Bible story book is based on the ESV translation.

I compared a few of the stories with my actual Bible and found them to be very close.  I encourage you to compare it’s text with actual Scripture before teaching it to any age group, as with any Bible resource you use.   

The length of the story would be just right for children 8 years old and up.  While the stories are a little long for my 4 & 5 year olds at church to stayed tuned in to, the stories can still be used to help prepare your lesson for those youngsters.  The pictures in the book would also come in handy on those days you are missing flannel board characters.

I find the questions at the end of each story could be easily adjusted to use with the younger crowd, while giving the older group some prompting to think about what they just read.  I was even prompted to re-read the text (and Scripture) as I realized I didn’t know the entire story by heart!

Who doesn’t love Girl Scout cookies?  I tend to crave them when they are all sold out!  I am looking forward to making my own!

It’s Week 5 in the Finding Encouragement in Troubling Times study I’m participating in.

This Mom’s Review: Week 6

Today’s study is based on 1 Peter 3:8-12:

 ⁸Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

⁹Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

¹⁰For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

¹¹Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

¹²For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

I was asked to look up several other verses that offer direction on expressing sibling love in our faith community and share which verse challenged me the most and inspired me the most.  I found that Ephesians 4:2 both challenged and inspired me.

I was challenged by the task to forbear one another in love.  I am really struggling to not get mad at certain situations.  Those situations involve people that I am commanded to love in Christ.  It’s not as easy as it sounds.  Love is an action word and a difficult task at times.

I was inspired by the word ‘meekness’ because anytime I hear that word I think of Jesus Christ my Savior!  He is my example.  He chose to be meek, so I should be following in His footsteps with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.

Look up these Scripture verses and tell me:  Which one challenges you the most?  Which one inspires you the most?
