We’re pleased to announce that the main pool is open already! You can now enjoy relaxing by the main pool, or take a refreshing swim and get in shape, stay in shape, or just relax.

Our satellite pools will be opening very soon, with Memorial Day being the final day before opening. We just have to make sure that everything is in perfect order and the water is suitable for swimming. We want our residents to have a great time all summer long, so we have to make sure everything about our satellite pools meet our high standards.

There are Nashville farmers markets, and then there are hip Nashville farmers markets. Literally, the Hip Donelson Farmer’s Market is probably the hippest in the area. Generating a great deal of buzz and business in 2012, the farmers market is back in 2013 to make yet another positive impact on our local economy and ecology.

Hip Donelson Farmer’s Market (HDFM) isn’t just a place for buying locally grown produce. They have local musicians perform, prepared cuisine for sale, confections, honey, jams and jellies, salsas, baked goods (pies, breads, cakes), vegan prepared foods, grass-fed beef and all natural poultry, too.

View tons of stunning visual art at the Frist Center this summer.

Summer is always an exciting time for you and your family to get outdoors and enjoy many of the excellent seasonal activities. One popular activities to enjoy in Nashville is a visit to the local art museum.  In this case, you can join along with other Stewart’s Ferry Apartments residents who will be heading to the summer happenings at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts!

There is certainly a lot to see in do at the Frist Center located on 919 Broadway. You will be simply amazed by the 24,000 square feet of exciting exhibits and visually spectacular art from artists around the state and region.

One summer art collection you will want to see is “Exploring Art of the Ancient Americas” by John Bourne. His collection is a cross section of art from  the Americas which will provide you an astonishing view of pieces which are indeed remarkable. The art collection will be at the center through June 23rd.

Also check out the “Sensuous Steel: Art Deco Automobiles” exhibit which will be at the center from June 14 to September 15, 2013.

CMA’s music festival does not belong to Nashville alone, because it draws literally thousands upon thousands of fervent country music followers from across the nation and around the globe.  Only here can you have the opportunity to mingle with the country music giants, as well as those who will soon take their place as legends in country music.

The star studded legendary line up include Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and a plethora of other country musical royalty.  In fact, when it comes to country music, the cream of the crop will be in attendance!

Call up your friends for a fun chance to get messy at the Urban Muddy Buddy Run.

Muddy Buddy Mud Run consists of teams of two that traverse a 3-4.5 mile off-road course that challenges both their running and biking abilities to the max. What is cool about this race is that everyone wins and receives a medal for participating. At the very end of the race, you and your team will get to crawl through the legendary Mud Pit which crosses the finish line and anoints you as an official Muddy Buddy.

Kids can get in on the act too, and there is a Mini Muddy Buddy Mud Run specifically designed for them.  Children four to six can participate as long as there is a parent with them on the shorter course.

On June 22nd, join in on the fun and be a Muddy Buddy!

Check out a few of these fun games you can play with your new puppy.

Just because your puppy may be small, that doesn’t mean that they are not still playful. The puppy games that you play with a young dog should obviously not be the same as the games you would play with a much larger, older dog. However the puppy games that you play need be no less fun for your young dog.

Here are a couple of games to play with your puppy:

Meandering Mutts: Walking along with your dog by your side can be a great way to fill their young eyes with all the beauty and wonder of our neighborhood, and it’s a chance to show them the great wide world! Don’t “jog” as your pup will likely tire out, and don’t go too far or else you could be carrying your pup home!

Hunting Hounds: Hide and go seek can never be more fun than with your small dog. Make sure to keep an eye on them but they will yap with joy when they find you!

Fetch: As your pup emerges into young-dog-dom it’s time to begin the “fetch” years. Of course you can’t keep them going for too long or have them bring back things too heavy at first.

Nashville is known for its legendary music scene, and residents of Stewart’s Ferry Apartments are often the first in line to join with other fans at Nashville concerts. So as May arrives, there are several key concerts in Nashville that they will be adding to their entertainment line-up.

For starters, you can begin the month with iconic progressive rockers Rush on May 1st!  You should make plans to be in the seats at Bridgestone Arena on 501 Broadway and enjoy this performance.

Flee the summer heat with a trip to Nashville Shores Water Park.

If you and your family are truly interested in things to do in Nashville, then everyone is definitely going to be pleased to head down to Nashville Shores Water Park.  On May 4th, your weekend is going to be full of lots of fun-filled activities when the park opens. The fact that it is only 1.5 miles away from Stewart’s Ferry Apartments is a bonus in and of itself!

Located on 4001 Bell Rd in Nashville, this is absolutely the perfect location to enjoy endless excitement at the beginning of the summer season. Just think about it, there are a plethora of wonderful events to occupy every single moment like the lake cruises, nine spectacular water slides, and mini-golf just to name a few.
