• Make sure you keep a charged cell phone with you in case of emergency, at all times.
• Bring plenty of sunblock to keep your skin safe from sunburns (or worse!).
• Keep glass containers away from the pool. Bring drinks in plastic bottles instead.
• Never drink and swim.
• Keep small children within arm’s reach, and make sure children are accompanied by an adult.

Combine you and your pet’s workouts with these ab exercises.

Owning a dog in means that you’re responsible for providing a healthy lifestyle, for both pet and owner. This means that both of you also require some exercise. Just like we need to maintain our health through proper diet exercise, the same applies to our canine buddies.

A good way to help knock off two birds with one stone is to incorporate exercising with a dog into the daily or weekly workout regimen. This way, both you and Spot benefit from exercising and you don’t have to do it alone.

• A walk is a great way for you and your pup to get some quality exercise time. Find a local dog park so both can get some extended exercise time.
• Do sit ups while holding your pup’s favorite toy. As you sit up, pretend to throw the toy. Your dog chases after what he thinks was thrown. You continue with your sit up. Each time you can, pretend to toss the toy. Do as many as possible until Spot catches on to what you’re doing.
• Play fetch. Toss the toy, then race along with your dog. Pick it up, if you can, and play tug-of-war. Toss and repeat.

Rock out with your favorite hits from the 80′s at Rock of Ages in Memphis.
