For those of you who use our copy module we have increased the speed of the copy queue for all users, especially for companies with thousands of open copy jobs. Some users will experience an increase of speeds of up to 300% faster. This change is now available to all customers.

Previously to update a floor plan using AutoCAD, the user would be required to make the necessary changes and would then have them analyzed and exported before they could be uploaded through iOffice to become active.

We have eliminated the exporting step and have made it much quicker to load the new floor plans directly to the iOffice system.

After analyzing the space plan using SoftSpace, you may click the button “Send to iOffice” in SoftSpace rather than exporting and saving the file in SoftSpace format. This will send the new information directly to iOffice without ever leaving AutoCAD.

A new window will appear asking you to choose the site in which you would like to send the file update to.

After you enter your site, it will then ask you to choose the floor that the updated space plan should be uploaded to. After you have selected this once it will remember it moving forward.

The new floor plan will upload and then you can click View in iOffice to navigate directly to it.

Also, you will now have the ability to open AutoCAD DWGs from iOffice from any computer. This will remove the chaotic process of emailing updated drawings back and forth- you can keep track of the latest versions automatically. iOffice becomes the centralized repository for all your AutoCAD data.

Previously when you added an asset in inventory it would only allow you to add one item at a time, which required re-entering the tab and re-entering the item details to add an additional item.

Our new feature simplifies and shortens this process entirely. After adding one asset in inventory, you will now have the option to “save and add another” next to the original “save” button.

When you click this option a new screen will appear that allows you to select which details from the previous asset you would like to transfer over to your next asset.

You may choose as many or as few details as necessary. The only detail that may not be transferred is the serial number, as all of these are unique. Things like type, vendor and model are automatically kept allowing you to quickly add assets of the same type.

This new feature allows you to add multiple assets in inventory more efficiently than ever! It will be available to all clients within the next two weeks.

The new Owner queue column can be added to the asset inventory by going to Admin – Asset – Asset Types and adding the Owner column to the Asset Types fields and queue columns. This feature will be rolled out to all clients over the next two weeks.

With the new change, simply navigate to Admin – Copy – Preferences. Under Copy Machines you will find a list of the assets assigned to the center and the ability to configure them.

To add a copy machine, search for the copy machine and select the asset from the list then save. To remove a copy machine, simply click the X next to the desired machine to be removed.

When adding or editing assets you’ll see new buttons allowing you to add a model or add a model from Amazon right from the page. No more going to Admin – Asset – Models and Manufacturers to add a new laptop model.

The new “Add from Amazon” button is where you can search for the item you would like to add, with information directly from Amazon. Type in the item name, model number or scan a barcode and the list of matched search results will appear in this window. When you hover over each photo, a detailed description of the item appears.

After clicking the model you want, select OK. The model will be automatically added and selected for you, any vendors that were not already created will be automatically added saving multiple clicks and time.

The details such as specs and pictures will be automatically added, so you don’t have to enter it manually. After saving the asset if you have the Space Module and are viewing your floor plans on the web or on the go on your tablet you can see model images with a few taps.

This new feature will make adding assets faster and easier. It will be released to all clients over the next two weeks. Stay tuned for more exciting features to come!

Please note that what was previously the “Draw” tool is now the “Polygon” tool and the new draw tool allows you to draw free hand. Additionally this release includes many performance and other improvements. These features will also be available on our new mobile Space Manager application soon.

Remove Assets from Black List

We have added a new link to view and remove assets from black list.

The “Monitoring Black List” link will take you to our new page which list all the devices that are on black list in FMAudit’s database. If you want to remove an asset from black list you can do it by clicking on “Remove” button. Finally, you can click save button to save your changes.

NOTE: Since our application communicates with FMAudit’s service, adding and removing devices to and from black list may take may take longer time than normal.
