	YouTube and Google Plus Pages Connect Overview Connecting G+ Pages to Youtube Channels started their beta test on April 10, 2013. In this Hot Blog Tips Hangouts on Air, I go through a few of the advantages of hooking your Youtube Account to a Google Plus page and a few of the issues that people are finding during this testing phase. I stress that making the connection is not for everyone at this time. Some people do not even have the option, but even if you do, you need to be prepared for some problems. It may be better to wait until some of the bugs and glitches are worked out. Here are the topics I cover in this HoA! **Advantages to hooking your YouTube and G+ Pages Places Youtube Tab on your Google Plus Page -- your 9 most recently uploaded Public videos. Google Plus Page Managers can also manage the connected Youtube Channel. If your G+ Page (or profile) is verified, it will also verify on your Youtube channel. You can link to your connected G+ Page with an annotation on Youtube. Possible issues -- Or what to watch for** Only 14 days to disconnect if you do not want t participate in the Beta. After 14 days, it becomes permanent! You will end up with a "Fake" profile if you do not have one already for your Youtube email -- This profile must be a page manager. If you are already using the Youtube email for your G+ profile, you may end up with a Youtube channel for your profile 3rd Party will not log in as usual -- you must Set Up A Username and Password for your Page - API Issues!!! 	Pause Annotation Workaround They took the old Pause Annotation due to people abusing it, but there is The "New" Pause Annotation Workaround. You can still get your video to pause (without adding time to the length of your video). You do have to join the Video Questions Editor Beta option - http://www.youtube.com/video_questions_beta It takes a few more steps to get this type of pause to work and there are no guarantees to how long we will be able to do this as the Video Questions Editor may not stay as part of Youtube. I know that if people screw around and use the Questions/Pause to interrupt normal viewing of videos, Youtube will yank it just as they did the old Pause Annotation.
