Not only is the park conveniently close by, but it has a lot to offer families in the way of seasonal activities!

For kids who love to frolic and play games, the playground area is perfect for these types of activities.  Being able to get outdoors to enjoy the fresh summer air and join companions in games is part of the charm of Clark Community Park

Located on 111 Davis Road, this park has two picnic pavilions and plenty of space to reserve for family picnics and celebratory events.  All one has to do is make the necessary reservations by paying the nominal $50 fee, which allows you to enjoy a nice day of grilling and socializing.

If you love jogging or walking, there is also a .75 Mile Paved Walking/Jogging Track for you to take pleasure in.

As one of the best community gardens in Henry County, the Windy Hill Community Garden welcomes everyone within the community to come and grow their own plants. The Windy Hill Community Garden has got space for everyone who wants to come down and let their plant life thrive.

Located in McDonough at Windy Hill Park, this community garden strives to be a “family” destination and has got 17 total plots. The garden is open to anyone within our broader community.

The Windy Hill Community Garden traces its roots back to the spring season of 2008. The lush vegetables which grew here then continue to thrive in this amazing garden, so everyone should come down and see the space. This garden is rife for horticulturists young and old who hope to make something spring up.

There is a new exhibit which will amaze many which recently opened in April called the Dolphin Encounter.  The wonderment of these marine creatures will bring out the kids and adults alike, to see these beloved aquatic mammals.  You will also have the opportunity to meet, touch and perhaps feed the dolphins.

The beginning of summer is the perfect time to begin working on basic maintenance for your vehicles.

Summer weather can play havoc on your car’s interior and exterior. When temperatures get to hot to handle, it can sizzle the shine right off your ride. Get a jump start on summer by trying these suggestions to help keep your car as cool as possible.

• Have any and all filters changed so the air conditioner works efficiently instead of trying to filter cool air through dirty filters.
• Checking tire pressure is one thing car owners tend to forget about. It’s important to keep the proper tire pressure especially during hot months. When tires heat up, they generate more air pressure which in turn makes the tire hard. This isn’t good as too much pressure will make the tire blow out.
• Pay attention to the internal gauges. If the temperature gauge spikes, it could mean a thermostat isn’t functioning properly or there could be a coolant leak.
• Check the belts and hoses, especially in older vehicles, as they could be close to breaking or are leaking.
• Check the area where your car is parked for any signs of leaking fluids.

Yes indeed it is International Picnic Day coming up on June 18. Folks around our Cameron Landing apartments are already making their plans. You can’t be a resident of our community and not love going out on picnics. The whole state of Georgia really is a great layout for going out on picnics because we have such great weather here so much of the year.

If it’s been a while for you, though, since your last picnic, you may be wondering about what games to play on a picnic are these days. Here are some fun and timeless games to play on your summer picnic:

• Frisbee: Who doesn’t love to play Frisbee? You throw this round disc around from person to person and everyone who has basic motor functions can play the game!
• Football: If you have got a Nerf Football, or something that everyone playing can handle, playing a friendly game of football is also a good picnic option.
• Tag: This game might be more for the kids but having kids run around and wearing themselves out is a good way for you to get some rest after this exciting day!

One of those festivals in Atlanta include the Georgia Renaissance Festival, happening April 13th through June 2nd (weekends only).
