FREE World Cup community watch party at Peachtree Corners Town Green on July 7th

There will be a World Cup community watch party on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 on the Peachtree Corners Town Green.

Catch all the action of the Round of 16 at this FREE event, hosted in partnership with the City of Peachtree Corners.

Pre-game festivities begin at 11:00 AM with a DJ and family-friendly activities.

The match kickoff happens at noon, and there will be a huge screen on site.

Make it a lunch outing with coworkers or bring a summer camp group to enjoy the match together.

Restaurants around the Town Center will be offering FIFA-themed specials.

The FREE event takes place at Suwanee Town Center from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

This is the match between Congo DR and Uzbekistan that’s happening at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Cool off at a splash pad or sprayground

The splash pads and spraygrounds in Atlanta are a fun way for kids to cool off and play in the water, without going to a pool. No matter where you live in metro Atlanta, there is most likely a park with a water feature near you — and most of them are FREE.

Have a close-up butterfly encounter

You can get up close to hundreds of flying butterflies at local nature centers and gardens. If you’re lucky, you may have a butterfly land on your hand or arm.

Each summer, there are opportunities to enter a butterfly house, also known as a butterfly conservatory or lepidopterarium. (These are different from outdoor butterfly gardens.) They are special facilities designed for breeding and displaying butterflies, often with an emphasis on education.

This summer, taking the kids to the movies doesn’t have to be an expensive outing.
Several national theater chains plus a few local theaters are offering cheap summer movies for families on a budget.

The family-friendly films are offered one to five times a week, usually in the morning or early afternoon. Prices range from $0 to $3, and are the same price for kids and adults.

Atlanta is getting ready for a huge moment in the summer of 2026, and the whole city is about to feel it!

With the FIFA World Cup coming to town, you’ll see soccer energy everywhere — not just inside Mercedes‑Benz Stadium.

Neighborhoods, parks, and downtown streets will be filled with fan festivals, watch parties, food events, and cultural celebrations that make the World Cup feel like a city-wide block party.

This is a listing of some of the big FIFA‑related events happening around Atlanta, so you can jump in, plan your days, and enjoy the excitement as the world shows up in our backyard.

While these events are all FREE, some require that you download a ticket for entry. Click thru the links for info on what you need for each event.

NOTE:
Traffic will be a nightmare and parking will be impossible around Downtown Atlanta, the Decatur Square, and other venues where these events take place.

Free museum admission for active military families this summer, thru the Blue Star Museums program

Through the Blue Star Museums program, families of active military members can enjoy FREE admission at over 2,000 venues nationwide — including 14 in the Atlanta metro area. The program is made possible through collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts.

This is a summer program.
In 2026, the FREE admission offer at participating venues begins on May 16th (Armed Forces Day) and continues through Monday, September 7th (Labor Day).

Nationwide, participating venues include children’s museums, fine art museums, history and science centers, zoos, and nature centers.

Kids can download a free activity sheet to commemorate each of the Blue Star venues they visit this summer.

Who gets FREE admission through the Blue Star Museums program?

The free admission program is open to active-duty military personnel, and their families, including:

Army
Navy
Air Force
Marine Corps
Coast Guard
Reserves
National Guard
U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps
NOAA Commissioned Corps

The active-duty member does NOT have to present for families to get the free admission deal. A spouse or other family member is also eligible, with a military family ID card.

The military ID holder may bring up to five family members for free. A family member of active duty military may include a spouse or child, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.

The Blue Star Museums program does NOT include veterans, retired military personnel, or spouses/children of deceased military personnel. It was designed to support families of those who are actively deployed. However, you can contact a museum directly to find out what kinds of military discounts it offers to veterans and retirees.

NOTE: In some cases, a venue might exclude special exhibits or traveling exhibits from the free admission program.

Planet Fitness has announced that all teenagers (age 14 to 19) can work out for FREE all summer long, at any gym location. The summer pass will be valid from June 1st through August 31st in 2026.

Summer Pass participants will have access to free workouts designed specifically for high-schoolers by downloading the Planet Fitness app.

Get started. Use your in-app digital club pass to work out at your home club for FREE from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2026. (Teens can only work out at the Planet Fitness location where they signed up.)

NOTE: Teens under the age of 18 must register with a parent or guardian. However, once completely registered (including signing the waiver), teens can work out alone.

FREE admission day & Juneteenth program at the William Root House in Marietta on June 19th

The William Root House, a historic landmark in Cobb County, will host a FREE admission day with a Juneteenth program on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event includes:
Guided museum tours
Crafts
Living history demonstrations
Storytelling
and more!

The William Root House was constructed during the 1840s and is the oldest house remaining in downtown Marietta. The home and grounds have been restored to their 1860 appearance. Today, modern touchscreens and interactive displays help tell the story of the Root family and their enslaved house servants. There is also a gift shop and visitor center.

The museum has limited free parking. You can also find two-hour public parking in the city lot next door, and there are paid lots nearby offering $5 parking.

Virginia-Highland Summerfest features two days of concerts on June 6th & 7th

Virginia-Highland Summerfest will take place over two days — Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The event is FREE to attend. There will be food, an artist market, activities for kids, and live music.

The majority of the festival is located on Virginia Avenue, between North Highland Ave. and Park Drive.
Food trucks are on Barnett Street.
There’s a beverage garden in John Howell Park.

Sunday — 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Summerfest Block Party — Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. (live music and food trucks).

Getting there

Be aware that parking is extremely limited and Atlanta police will be ticketing.

The nearest MARTA station is Midtown Station, about a 30-minute walk away.

The designated Uber/Lyft drop-off and pickup spot is Barnett Street at Virginia Circle.

There is usually a bike valet service and you can lock up your bicycle right outside the festival area — but you may NOT bring it into the crowded festival zone.

The Chamblee Summer Concert Series opens the season on July 12th with a Beyonce tribute

Chamblee rocks again this summer, with three FREE outdoor concerts for 2026.

All the concerts take place at the green space in front of Chamblee’s new City Hall, located at 3518 Broad Street in the downtown Chamblee entertainment district. There is a an area of artificial turf where you can set up blankets or chairs.

This a great location, because it’s easy to take MARTA to Chamblee Station, exit the station to the rear, and walk to downtown Chamblee.

But this is also a major change from previous years — because Fourth of July fireworks will NOT take place at Keswick Park, as usual.

Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m.
After the July 4th concert, fireworks start at 9 p.m.

There will be food vendors on site.

In past years, there have been ride share codes available for discounted rides via Uber or Lyft to each concert.
We will update with the discount codes when we receive the info.

NEW open container policy!

Chamblee becomes the latest municipality in the Atlanta metro area to allow outdoor alcohol consumption in its entertainment district!

Starting June 1, 2023, you can purchase alcohol from a licensed establishment in downtown Chamblee and carry it with you, as long as you adhere to the ordinance guidelines.

Here’s what you need to know:

Hours for outdoor alcohol consumption are 9 a.m to 10 p.m.
Open containers are prohibited outside those hours.
You still must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol.
Alcohol-licensed restaurants will dispense your drink in a clearly marked plastic cup.
Beer and wine cannot exceed 16 fluid ounces; for distilled spirits it’s 12 ounces.
You cannot bring your own alcohol to the city for open container consumption.

Getting to the downtown Chamblee business district

Downtown Chamblee is embracing transit-oriented development — and the business district is an easy walk from the Chamblee MARTA Station.

If you live anywhere on the Gold Line, MARTA is a no-brainer. Get off at Chamblee Station, then follow the signs pointing to the buses (not to Chamblee Tucker Rd) to exit the platform. In the middle of the station, one level below, you’ll find a short covered walkway that is marked Peachtree Rd. This is the shortest walk to the concert.

(TL;DR version — if you take the train, do not exit the station via the front door! Find the walkway to Peachtree Rd and the back door.)

Parking

There is a limited amount of parking in the Chamblee downtown business district. Please find an alternative means of transportation, other than driving, if you can!

After 6 p.m., you can park at Winter Construction, located at 5616 Peachtree Road.
This is 5 minute walk to the concert location.

For the 4th of July concert, and fireworks, in past years you could park at Keswick Park and ride a shuttle to the concert.

There is a new designated rideshare park, located at 5374 Peachtree Road. Please use this address for pickup and dropoff by Lyft, Uber, etc.
Each concert will also have an Uber discount code — we’re working on tracking that down, so stay tuned!

Know before you go…

The concerts are family-friendly but you can not bring pets.

You cannot bring in outside alcohol. Outside food is permitted, but only small (under 30 quarts) coolers are allowed.

No glass containers, please.

Lawn chairs and blankets are fine, but tents or canopies are not allowed.

These events are rain or shine so dress accordingly.
If the weather threatens to become dangerous, look at Chamblee’s social media pages to find out if an event is canceled or rescheduled.

There will be food trucks on site for all concerts, as well as designated tents where you can buy beer and wine.

But in case you don’t know, downtown Chamblee has shrugged off its “Antique Row” reputation to become a bustling restaurant scene. Come early on concert nights to take advantage of these dining options, all located within a walkable area:

The “Kids Bowl Free” program gives your children two free games everyday, through August

Kids Bowl Free is a family-friendly program that allows kids to bowl at no cost, all summer long. This is a great indoor option for days that are rainy or extra hot and humid.

Once your children are registered with the program, they can bowl two games a day for FREE, all summer long.

The individual bowling alleys decide on the age requirement for their location.
Some offer the free games to kids all the way to age 18, while others have a cutoff of 14 or 15.

All of the participating bowling centers include the summer months of June, July, and August.
A few run the program from April to October each year.

In general, bowling shoes won’t be included with the free games.

TIP:
If you’re planning to go bowling with family or friends, it’s worth it to check Groupon for discounted bowling offers, before you head out.

FIFA World Cup Fan Festival: Here’s how to get FREE tickets for dates in June & July!

The official FIFA World Cup Fan Festival is taking place this summer at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. It offers all fans an opportunity to experience the World Cup tournament outside of stadium walls.

The Fan Festival is FREE to attend, but you must download a ticket for a specific date. (The details on ticketing are just below.)

The festival is currently scheduled for 18 days between June 11th and July 15th, and is promised to be an immersive experience. It’s hosted by the City of Atlanta and the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA).

In addition to the free experiences, there’s the option to buy tickets for an upgraded experience (see below).

NOTE that there will be a Clear Bag Policy in effect.

The festival will cover the entire footprint of Centennial Park.
It includes:

Live broadcasts of tournament matches on giant LED screens
Concerts, DJ sets, and global entertainment
Interactive soccer-related experiences and games
Diverse, international food and beverage vendors
Murals, art, and graphics throughout the park
Official merchandise for sale

According to a press release, there will be four distinct programming areas in the park:

Main Stage will be the focal point of the FIFA Fan Festival featuring concerts and a 40-foot screen, which will showcase live matches and highlights from across the tournament (schedule below).
The Playground will feature activations and games geared to younger fans.
The Pitch will host a community stage, podcasts, and AR/VR-enhanced sound experiences.
Georgia Street will showcase artists and food vendors from across the region.

First concert line-up announced!

UPDATE on 5/28/26:
The city of Atlanta has announced a concert lineup that includes Davido, CeeLo Green, Kat Graham, Hero the Band, Nappy Roots, and Gente de Noche.

Others that will perform include DJ Rasta Root, Guero, Kevin Egan, Florista, B.bruja, Jay Envy, Sofa King Evil, Brixla, and Key.

The bad news is, we don’t have dates yet for when any of these artists will perform, and we have to wait for more announcements.

We’ll post more info as soon as we have it, so you know which days you’ll want to reserve your FREE tickets.

How to get FREE tickets to the Fan Festival

You can register online for free general admission tickets for the dates listed below.

NOTE that having a ticket may not guarantee entry, if officials decide the park is at or over capacity (which is 15K people at any given time).
To guarantee entry on a specific date, you can purchase a GA+ ticket for $45 to $65, giving you access to an upfront viewing area with private restrooms and a bar.

You can get up to six free passes per order.

After choosing your free general admission pass or paying for the GA+ ticket, you’ll receive an email with a link to access. Show your pass at the festival entrance for entry.

Getting there

In a nutshell — you need to take MARTA.
Traffic will be a nightmare and downtown parking will be nonexistent.

Centennial Park is an easy 5-10 minute walk from either:
• the GWCC/CNN Station on the Blue/Green line
• the Peachtree Center Station on the Red/ Gold line

In case you don’t know, MARTA has transitioned to the Better Breeze fare system, in anticipation of heavy use during the FIFA World Cup games.

Rodney Cook Sr. Park is a 16-acre green space located in the Vine City neighborhood on Atlanta’s west side. This is a simple fountain-style splash pad, with water jets coming up from below. You’ll also find a large playground with rock climbing wall.

This splash pad is officially part of Adams Park Pool, and NOT one of city’s 7 free splash pads.
Splash Island has everything from fountains to water cannons to keep the kids soaked this summer. In the past, there has been a $5 fee, although there were free swim hours at designated times. The fee was waived last year when the pools reopened after the pandemic hiatus. We have no current info this year.

Play in the fountain at Centennial Park! As one of the most recognized and photographed landmarks in Georgia, the Fountain of Rings is familiar to everyone.

Centennial Olympic Park is currently open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The fountain runs most of the year, and we’ve seen tourists playing in it late in the fall. It’s probably the largest de facto sprayground in the Southeast, laid out as the five rings of the Olympic logo in a sunken brick plaza.

The Aurora Cineplex in Roswell has announced its Summer Movie Deal for 2026 — just $3 per person for family-friendly movies.

Ten classic family films will play on weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
There will be a different film each week for 10 weeks, from May 22 to July 30, 2026.

Each film opens on a Friday, then plays again Monday through Thursday.
The schedule is below.

Plus, you can add a Popcorn Snack Pack for $6.00 (includes a free refill!)

Add a Game of Mini Golf for $6.00 and play after the film.

Tickets are available on a walk-up basis or on Fandango. There’s also an Aurora mobile app where you can purchase tickets.

The City of Lawrenceville presents LIVE in the DTL — a FREE summer concert series in 2026.

The concerts take place on the Lawrenceville Lawn from 8 to 10 p.m. on select Friday nights.

Food trucks are on site and begin serving at 5:30 p.m. so you can picnic before the music begins. You can purchase beer and wine on site.

The Lawn opens at 5 p.m. and you can set up your blanket or chairs.

You may bring a picnic meal or snacks, but you may not bring in outside alcohol.

You can also reserve a table for a fee.

The City of Lawrenceville presents the annual Cultura Fiesta Latina, a full sensory experience celebrating the diversity of Latin culture through live music, street performances, food, art, and so much more!

No matter what your background is, there is something fun to explore at Cultura.

What to expect at this FREE Latin culture festival?
Enjoy Cultura throughout Downtown Lawrenceville with a special Fiesta del Barrio on the square featuring DJs, street performances, live music, and cocktail specials.

Get down to the Lawn for an energetic live music lineup, a maker’s market featuring local Latin artists and curators, and a food court with all of your favorite local Latin food pop-ups with a variety of savory and sweet Latin treats.

After the concert at the Lawn ends, the audience is invited to join a Carnivale-inspired street parade with costumed performers which leads from the Lawn to Fiesta del Barrio (on the square) for more live music and dancing!

LAST CALL to make merry at the Georgia Renaissance Festival, closing this weekend

Eat, drink, and be merry at the Georgia Renaissance Festival, returning to Fairburn, GA, from Saturday, April 11th to Sunday, May 31st in 2026. This is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Atlanta.

The festival is open on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Memorial Day Monday.
Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
Parking is FREE.

There is quite a bit to do at the Georgia Renaissance Festival and it is a family-friendly event with plenty for the kiddos. It’s a rain or shine event, so dress accordingly and pack ponchos and umbrellas if the forecast leaves any doubt.

There is food and drink (with a Renaissance theme!) available for purchase. You’ll also find plenty of entertainment and an artisans market for shopping. If you’re interested in special themed weekends (pirates, fairy tales, wizards, etc.), you can see them here.

NOTE: The Festival announced they have reduced daily capacity in 2026, so some dates may sell out more quickly than you expect.

Admission
Prices in 2026 are on a tiered system — there are Value Days, Standard Days, and Peak Days, ranging from $25.95 to $32.95 for adult tickets.
You’ll pick your ticket date on a calendar and see the price that day before you check out.

Children’s tickets range from $13.40 to $1950, depending on day.
Kids 5 and under get in FREE.

You must buy your ticket online — there are NO gate sales this year.

Pontoon Brewing and Sudnat Studios will host a new weekly event series, Food & Film Fridays.

The events will run every Friday from March 6 to November 13, 2026, and are FREE to attend — just bring your wallet for food and drink.

Each week there will be two featured films running between 5 and 9 p.m.
The early movie will be family-friendly, and the later one will be more adult.
These are outdoor events, weather permitting.

You’ll also find a mini artist market and food trucks on site.
The vendors will switch up weekly.

Pontoon Brewing has 15+ beers on tap, plus hard seltzer.

Glover Park Concert Series in Marietta this Friday: A1A takes the stage (Jimmy Buffet tribute)

The Glover Park Concert Series in Marietta opens the 2026 season on April 24th with Yacht Rock Schooner.

Once a month, you can head to the Marietta Square for a FREE Friday night concert in Glover Park.

The series runs from April through September and usually takes place on the last Friday of the month this year.

The concerts begin at 8 p.m.

Note that you can only use blankets or lawn chairs inside Glover Park. You may not lay down a tarp or any kind of plastic/vinyl ground cover. Also not permitted in the park: tables, tents, canopies, and umbrellas.

If you want to bring a table, you can set it up in the street on North and East Park Square after 6 p.m., when the street is closed to traffic.

Tunes by the Tracks is back in 2026!

The FREE concerts will take place outside Outrun Brewing, located in the heart of the Village at the corner of E. Mountain St. and Second St.

Tunes by the Tracks takes place on Friday nights in May and June, and may return for a fall series — so stay tuned!

The music series features local indie artists.

Bring a lawn chair, if you’d like.
Outrun Brewing will be serving beer, there will be a food truck on site, and you’ll find find options within the Village as well.

Concerts are 7 to 9 p.m. and take place rain or shine, but may be canceled during times of severe weather.

Newnan Porchfest takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from noon to 9 p.m.
This is a brand new event and it is FREE to attend.

On this day, talented musicians will be performing on various porches in the College-Temple Historic District.

Local vendors will showcase a variety of goods at the arts and crafts market.

Families are invited to join in the fun with a variety of kids’ activities and games that will keep the little ones entertained all day long.

Dogs are welcome (on leash, please!)

You are welcome to bring a blanket or portable lawn chair.

There will be food trucks and pop-up food stands at various points throughout the festival.

FREE Music in the Garden concerts

The concert series, Music in the Garden, is FREE to attend and open to the public.

Music in the Garden takes place at the screened-in pavilion, which is a bit of a walk from the parking area. The concerts are rain-or-shine, unless the weather becomes unsafe.

There are several FREE concerts on select Sundays in the spring and fall.
Concerts begin at 2 p.m. and last about two hours.
Performers are local musicians who donate their time and talent.

There is a limited amount of on-site parking at Woodlands Garden. When the lots are full, you can use the off-site parking options listed online.

Atlanta Streets Alive: The Southwest Route (West End to Grant Park) returns on Sunday, May 31st

Streets Alive is back for a full season in 2026 — with eight events scheduled for all three routes from March through November.

Hours for each date are typically 2 to 6 p.m. and we’ll update if this changes for the fall dates (which may be 1 to 5 p.m.)

Here’s the scoop on the Southwest Route:
On select Sunday afternoons, for four glorious hours, over three miles of Georgia Avenue and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. will be closed to cars — and open for people to stroll, roll, bike, and play!

Along the route, you’ll find a wealth of interactive experiences, hosted by community organizations, local businesses, and Streets Alive sponsors.

You can explore the route from end to end, or enter and exit the route at any cross-street at any time during the four-hour activation.

Atlanta Streets Alive is FREE and fun for all ages.
Remember to bring a valid ID if you’d like to enjoy a cocktail along the way.

About the Southwest Route

The Southwest Route stretches from Atlanta’s West End to Grant Park.

It connects seven Southwest Atlanta neighborhoods — including Westview, Historic West End, Adair Park, Pittsburgh, Mechanicsville, Beecher-Donnelly, and Summerhill.

The route travels along Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. to Georgia Avenue.

About the May 31st event

This event proudly highlights Music in the Park ATL as its Cultural Sponsor, bringing multiple live music stages and performances throughout the route, featuring local artists, DJs, jazz ensembles, poets, and community performers.

Featured acts include Kebbi Williams and the Wolf Pack, Atlanta Improvisers Orchestra, CJ Brinson & the Family, Mausiki Scales, Georgia State Jazz Band, Nathalie Rose, REVERENCE, Funk Lordz, Toma Fit, and more.
Join the Wolfpack for a second line parade at 5 pm at Lee Street and Ralph David Abernathy.

Travel the whole route and discover different activities along the way, including swing dancing, Peach Roll Skate experiences, pilates, yoga, and fitness classes, community bike activations and safety education, interactive art stations, free poetry, family activities, pet zones, games, and wellness resources.

New to Streets Alive? Here’s how it works!

Streets Alive is FREE and it’s for everyone. You don’t have to be an athlete to join in. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what neighborhood you live in.

The open street route has no formal beginning or end. You can hop on at any point you like. The flow of people will move in both directions, like it does on the Beltline.

This is a chance for you to EXPLORE our city. You can stroll, roll, shop, eat, play, socialize, or simply enjoy the spring weather — all without the noise, fumes, and intensity of Atlanta’s traffic.

The idea is to OPT OUT traffic.

Streets Alive creates a a whole new healthy and vibrant city street experience in Atlanta.
So bring your bicycle, your skateboard, or just your feet, and get ready to explore your community streets in a safer, healthier, more livable way!

Getting there

Please don’t bring a car to Streets Alive!

You can walk, bike, or scooter to the route. You can also use Uber or Lyft, but the idea is to opt out of traffic.

This route is perhaps not as accessible as some others, like the Peachtree Street route, which followed the MARTA tracks closely.

The only MARTA rail station along the route is West End Station. It is somewhat in the middle of the route. West End Station is on the Gold/Red (north-south) line.

The West Lake and Ashby MARTA Stations, on the Blue (east-west) line are also options.

We recommend the Marta On The Go app for easy access to rail maps and timetables. Remember, trains run less often on Sundays, usually every 20 minutes.

Movie buffs, grab your popcorn! Uptown Atlanta is launching an outdoor movie series, to take place weekly outdoors at Uptown, the mixed use destination around the Lindbergh MARTA station. (Formerly known as Lindbergh City Center.)

The movies will take place monthly on first Thursdays of the month, from May through November.

These events are FREE to attend and take place from 7 to 9 p.m.

Food vendors will be on site.
Bring blankets or chairs.

Pioneer Days Festival: 4 fun days over Labor Day weekend, featuring carnival rides, games, & food

The annual Pioneer Days Festival takes place on four days over Labor Day Weekend, from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, 2026.

It’s happening at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville.

Admission is $10 for anyone over age 10.
Kids 10 and under are FREE.

Purchase a wristband for unlimited rides for $30.

You’ll find all your favorite carnival foods, including cotton candy, corn dogs, funnel cakes, pizza, and more.

Vendor booths will feature arts and crafts for sale.

The High Museum hosts a FREE Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 19th (register online)

The High Museum of Art is not only a popular attraction in Atlanta, it’s an organization that is committed to making the arts accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of income or demographics.

For many years now, the High Museum has opened its doors to all with a monthly FREE admission program, known as Second Sundays. The High also participates in Bank of America’s Museums on Us program, which allows any BOA cardholder to visit for free on the first weekend of each month.

Now, the High Museum is launching Access for All, a new day of FREE admission that features special programming on a drop-in basis. The program will kick off on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
It will then take place on the third Wednesday of each month.

Access for All is currently funded through 2026, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to experience it!

While anyone can participate, pre-registration is currently required.

The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta: admission deals & ticket discounts.

Did you know GA residents get FREE admission on their birthdays? Details below!

The Georgia Aquarium is a popular destination. It opened to the public in November of 2005, and over one million visitors toured the new attraction within the first 100 days.

You’ll want to browse all the available discounts below — because visiting the aquarium is a pricey excursion.

Ticket prices are currently quite high — $64.99 for a single-day ticket when you purchase it on the day of your visit, plus tax. It’s the same price for adults and children.
Fortunately, there are several discounts and ways to save — see below.

Remember, the special offers below are subject to change at any time — so please click the links provided and make sure the deal is still on.
Many special offers were suspended during the pandemic, when venues were struggling to make ends meet. We expect they’ll come back at some point.

Deals may also be subject to blackout dates around holidays. And, most offers cannot be combined with other discounts.

The current Groupon deal is for aquarium ticket for $50.99, which is about a 15% savings. But remember, Groupon does NOT add sales tax or any fees to your ticket — so that’s the final price.

You’ll have to choose a date and entry time on Groupon when you purchase tickets.
The offer is good through December 31, 2023.
The Aquarium will raise prices starting January 1st, and we’ll update if a new Groupon deal is offered then.

NOTE: You can get up to 8% cashback from Rakuten (formerly Ebates) if you sign up and start a shopping session before you purchase your Groupon. You get the money at the end of each quarter and can have it sent to you via check or PayPal.

$20 Tuesdays in 2025 — but buy before Aug. 28th

This is an advance purchase discount — you must buy your $20 ticket by August 28th, for any Tuesday between August 18 and December 23, 2025.

This is how it works:
For just $64.99 (plus tax), you’ll get a pass that gives you FREE admission for the rest of 2024 plus all of 2025.

Things to know:
This offer is no longer limited to Georgia residents only — it is open to everyone.

Reservations are required for each visit (make them online).

The offer doesn’t include parking or admission to special events.

If you like to visit the Georgia Aquarium multiple times a year, it only makes sense to purchase a membership. The Individual plan is just $90, which means it more than pays for itself on your second visit. A Family membership is $ for four people, and comes with two free guest tickets.

The aRes Travel discount package

Get an aquarium admission deal and special perks through aRes Travel, an online booking and ticketing platform.
This is a tourist-friendly deal.

For the discounted price of $48 (plus a $2 convenience fee), you get a general admission ticket that allows to visit again the next day for free. This deal is a great bargain for those who want to explore the aquarium over a two-day period.

The military discount & free admission days

To get the discount online, you’ll have to either verify your military credentials through ID.me OR buy tickets at the aquarium box office and present a military ID in person.

The discount applies to advance purchases only, and brings the price down to $37.99 plus tax.

For the price of a single-day admission ticket (at full price), you can buy a Fall Bounce Pass and get unlimited visits to the Aquarium for the remainder of 2023.

The Fall Bounce Pass is $47.99 (plus tax) and gives you access to every part of the Aquarium, including the Sharks gallery and the Sea Lion and Dolphin presentations.

It also gives you access to seasonal fun, including:
* Haunted Seas — enjoy Halloween-themed Sea Lion & Dolphin shows, a spooky decorated Atrium, and trick-or-treating on weekends in October.
* Holidays at the GA Aquarium — come for daily tree lighting events plus photos with Santa.

You must buy the pass online prior to October 31, 2023.
It becomes valid on the same day you purchase it.

Once you buy the Pass, remember that you’ll still have to book a timed reservation online for the days you wish to visit. You’ll have to create an account at georgiaaquarium.org, so you can use your account to reserve an entry pass for your chosen date. You may also need to reserve a seat at the Dolphin & Sea Lion shows.

You can visit as often as you like, but you have to follow the reservation process each time.

Each person in your party must have a pass (or a daily admission ticket).

Keep in mind you’ll still have to pay for parking on each visit.
You can buy a $20 parking pass on the Aquarium website — OR you can ride MARTA to the Aquarium.

Getting there and parking

If you’re relying on GPS to get there, use the following street address for a direct route to Georgia Aquarium parking: 357 Luckie Street, NW Atlanta, GA 30313. You enter the aquarium from the 2nd floor of the parking garage.

MARTA is an option. There are two rail stations nearby, and each one is about a 12-13 minute walk away from the aquarium.

From the Blue/Green line: Exit at the Dome/GWCC/Phillips Arena/CNN Station
From the Gold/Red line: Exit at Peachtree Center Station
