One of the best restaurants you can visit for getting it for brunch, lunch or dinner is Mandolin, which is located a mere 2.3 miles away from your apartment.

Mandolin’s restaurant is owned and operated by Sean Fowler, who wanted to provide the Raleigh area with scrumptious and fresh Southern food that would be near and dear to their hearts. There are great signature cocktails you may want to savor along with your meal.

Some of the top dishes on the menu include oysters Mandolin, classic Caesar salad, pan seared striped bass, 48 hour red wine braised beef short ribs, and North Carolina pheasant mole. If you want to chase down your delicious meal with a mouthwatering dessert, consider the trio of sorbets, passion fruit creme brulet or the hot valhorna chocolate souffle.

There are numerous benefits associated with these tiles, such as durability, beauty and style. Despite the fact that no flooring is maintenance-free, ceramic tile floors are some of the easiest to take care over. To keep yours free of unsightly marks, use the following cleaning tips:

Begin by using a microfiber duster or sweeping brush to eradicate dirt and debris from the surface. Run a vacuum cleaner over the surface to ensure no mess remains.

Now you are ready to remove blemishes from the ceramic tile floor in our Raleigh apartments. Fill a bucket with a mixture of warm water and vinegar. Apply to the floor with a sponge or mop.

When cleaning the floor, start at the corners of the room. Wipe the water and vinegar solution from the surface with a dry towel.

Clean the tile grout lines with an old toothbrush and finish by pouring cold water over the floor to lift stains and splashes. Ensure the floor is dry before walking on it.

The restaurant is open until 2:00 a.m. daily, so you can come in to eat lunch, dinner or even a midnight snack when your stomach is growling while out late.

Choose from dipping sauces for your chicken that is mild, medium, hot, extra hot, barbecue sauce , teriyaki toppings, garlic, and parmesan. You can choose from jumbo wings to those that are boneless. There are also great sandwiches on the menu.

Pet Shelters in Raleigh

You have found the perfect apartment here at Alexan North Hills but feel as if there is still something missing from your life. Perhaps what you need is a furry friend to brighten your days.

If so, consider adoption. There are so many homeless pets waiting at pet shelters in Raleigh for an owner. Here are a few options close to home.

Wake County Animal Center - This shelter is run by Wake County. They receive all of the homeless animals from the surrounding area. They always have a large selection of cats and dogs for adoption. Open everyday from noon to 6.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions - This is the Triangle area’s oldest no-kill shelter. Must fill out an application and have it approved before you can adopt. Open from noon to 4 on Saturdays for cat adoptions. Dog adoption events are held off site, contact them for times and places.
Wake County SPCA - This shelter offers pets for adoption as well as low cost spay/neuter clinics. Open Monday 1-8, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 11-6, Sunday 1-5. They are closed on Thursdays.

5 Non-Toxic Bathroom Cleaners

Bathrooms are an important room to clean at Alexan North Hills . Scents like pine, lavender, lilac, and lemon stick around long enough to make us think the bathroom is clean, yet those cleaners use strong, toxic chemicals.

There’s another issue. The fumes from the cleaners mix with the formaldehyde and ozone already in the air. This combination creates allergies, asthma, headaches, and respiratory problems.

Try these non-toxic cleaner recipes for your bathroom:

Strong Bathroom Cleaner- Combine two cups of hot water with one teaspoon of borax, one-half teaspoon of castile soap, one-half teaspoon baking soda or washing liquid, and three tablespoons of white vinegar. For scent, add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Tea tree oil helps disinfect.

All-Round Cleaner- Vinegar cleans everything. Add essential oils if the odor is too strong.

Mold Killer- Spray dirty areas with vinegar and wipe clean.

Bathroom Drain Unclogger- Pour three-quarters cup of dry baking soda. Add one-half cup white vinegar. Plug the drain and let sit for 30 minutes. Pour boiling water down the drain.

Chrome Cleaner- Toothpaste is great for polishing
