When buying third-party gift cards, you can earn 4x fuel points, saving you up to 14% on gas. To illustrate how that 14% figure is calculated, let’s say you spend $250 on gift cards during the promotion. That would earn you 1,000 fuel points, which can be redeemed for $1 off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. If you’re able to refuel to that 35-gallon limit (perhaps with a large gas tank or refueling 2+ household vehicles at once), you’d save $35. Saving $35 on the original $250 in gift card spend amounts to a 14% discount.

If your gas tank is smaller, though, your savings won’t be as high. For example, our car holds at most 12 gallons, so we can barely save 5% on gas through these promotions, given how much we spend on gift cards. You can often get better discounts on gift cards through sites like Raise, so weigh up all your options before buying them at full price from Kroger or its affiliates, such as Dillons, King Soopers, Ralphs, Fry’s, or Smith’s.

You can earn 4x fuel points on gift cards purchased online or in-store, though there are a couple of important differences between the two. If you’ll be buying in-store, you have to load the digital coupons to your account first, whereas you’ll automatically earn 4x fuel points when buying gift cards online from Kroger.

The other thing to bear in mind is that buying gift cards in-store lets you take advantage of the plethora of cards offering bonus spend at grocery stores right now. Kroger’s online gift card site processes payments through Blackhawk Network (the owner of GiftCards.com), so those online orders don’t count as grocery purchases.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred Card has long been widely regarded as one of the best starter travel rewards credit cards in the hobby. That’s because of the flat 2x it offers on all travel, excellent travel protections, and a couple of other useful bonus categories.

The card has now been refreshed by bumping up its annual hotel credit, adding a credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or Nexus, and adding a couple of useful new bonus categories (read Greg’s take on those changes here). That’s all great news, and I think it will make this card a fantastic fit for most newcomers to this hobby (and still an excellent fit for many long-term rewards credit card enthusiasts).

The biggest negative change with today’s refresh is that transfers from Chase Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt are now 4:3 for new Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders (down from 1:1), so you’ll need to transfer 4 Ultimate Rewards points to get 3 World of Hyatt points. This new transfer ratio applies to those who apply starting today (6/15/26). Those who had their cards open prior to June 15, 2026, will maintain a 1:1 transfer ratio until October 1, 2026, when the transfer ratio will become 4:3 for all Sapphire Preferred cardholders.

Overall, the Chase Sapphire Preferred remains a great card for the $95 annual fee price tag. It has been more than a year since we last saw this card offer 100,000 points, so if you’ve been interested in the Sapphire Preferred, now is probably a great time to consider it. I should add that we did see a very brief window last year where it was possible to earn additional bonus points from Rakuten by clicking through to apply for the Sapphire Preferred card. That offer expired a long time ago and only lasted a couple of days, but if you’re still on the fence about this card, you might want to keep an eye out for anything like that coming back.

Quick Thoughts

On the face of it, this is a great spending offer as it can save you up to 20% on your stay, whether that’s a paid room rate and/or room charges such as meals, spa treatments, etc.

However, be sure to check the list of just over 100 eligible properties here because it’s not as comprehensive as you might hope. The eligible properties are resorts and all-inclusives, so it’s not going to be helpful at brands like Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.

Update 7/22/26: Doctor of Credit has highlighted that several high value gift card redemption options have been removed, including Lowes, Home Depot, and Instacart. While the selection of gift cards is sometimes targeted, for what it’s worth I’m not seeing those options either, nor other cards like Walmart.

I do still have several travel-related redemption options like Marriott Bonvoy and one or two cruise lines. If none of the currently available brands interest you, it might just be worth holding off redeeming your cashback for now because this kind of thing has happened before, with Capital One Shopping eventually reintroducing some better redemption options.

Capital One Shopping, the public shopping portal, has added some very interesting gift card redemption options, including Apple and Princess Cruises. Note that we sometimes see gift card redemption options come and go. For instance, though I’ve had Best Western available in my account for a long time, Stephen reported this morning that Best Western and eBay showed up in his account for the first time in a while. I’ve consistently had options that I frequently use, like Hotels.com and Marriott gift cards, but there are lots of other useful options that have been added in the last few days.

The Deal

• Capital One Shopping has added many new gift card redemptions on the site today, including Apple gift cards, Princess Cruises gift cards, and more.

Quick Thoughts

As a reminder, Capital One Shopping is a publicly available shopping portal. You do not need a Capital One account of any sort to use Capital One Shopping. However, the rewards earned through Capital One Shopping can only be redeemed for gift cards. The options available for gift card redemption change over time, though I’ve noticed that the options in my account have mostly stabilized over the last year, with some minor ebb and flow in availability. The brands I care most about, including Hotels.com and Marriott.com, have been available in my account for at least a year if I recall correctly. However, when I saw Apple available as a gift card redemption option over the weekend, I knew that would be of great interest to those readers who have built up a sizable amount of Capital One Shopping rewards.

I see numerous other options newly available in my account today, including Princess Cruises. I’ve not seen that particular option before. I also see many lesser-value brands.

Keep in mind that many merchant gift cards can be purchased at a discount through various channels now and then. That said, I’m happy to see a wider range of gift card redemption options, as that makes it increasingly likely that you’ll find a good option for you through your Capital One Shopping account.

It’s worth mentioning that some users seem to have a lot of difficulty with Capital One Shopping offers tracking properly. I’ve had great success with the portal, earning five figures worth of cash back in my account alone. I continue using it frequently, and I’m glad to see more gift card redemption options for those of us who are finding success with it.

Quick Thoughts

If you were to book an activity that costs exactly $250, the $40 statement credit means you’d be getting 16% back. That’s twice as good as the Viator Chase Offer that’s giving an 8% statement credit, but this Amex Offer requires at least $250 spend in a single transaction, whereas that Chase Offer is valid for any amount of spend up to $125.

This Amex Offer can be used twice in order to earn up to $80 in statement credits. What I’m not sure about is if a $500 purchase would trigger both statement credits, or if you’d need to spend $250+ in two separate transactions in order to earn a total of $80 back.

Be sure to note that you have to spend $250 in a single transaction. Many Amex Offers get triggered by cumulative spending across two or more purchases, but this isn’t one of them.

It’s often possible to get very generous rewards for Viator via shopping portals, especially Capital One Shopping. If you’re not currently targeted for an increased offer, browse Viator with the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed and hopefully within hours you’ll get a targeted email offering a higher rate.

Quick Thoughts

If you’re interested in buying Choice points with this latest sale, it’s worth checking the pricing available on your account as there are sometimes targeted discounts that are higher or lower than other people see on their accounts. Choice cardholders in particular often benefit from lower pricing due to a larger discount or bonus.

We peg the Reasonable Redemption Value of Choice Privileges points at 0.75 cents per point (recently raised from 0.67 cents per point). That’s a higher value than the price available with this latest sale, plus there are opportunities to get outsized value with Choice points, so it shouldn’t take much effort at all to come out ahead when buying points with this latest sale.

Despite these points purchases being processed by Points.com, a reader pointed out in the past that you earn 5X or 10X by buying these points with a Choice credit card (depending on which of the cards you have), as it treats it the same as spending at Choice properties.

Quick Thoughts

It’s nice to have this additional shopping portal bonus, although the number of bonus points versus the spend required aren’t as good as the United and Southwest portal promos.

The Alaska portal has a card-linked in-store offer feature. Purchases at those stores with a linked card also count towards the spending thresholds. With eligible brick and mortar stores including CVS, Ikea, Sephora, and more, that could certainly help you earn bonus points from this promotion if you wouldn’t hit spending thresholds through online spending alone.

There’s some concerning wording in the terms though. When Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines launched the Atmos Rewards program, they advised that bonus points from shopping portal promotions such as this would count towards Status Points, with every 3,000 redeemable points earned also earning 1,000 Status Points. Unfortunately the wording towards the end of the terms—Bonus points do not count towards Atmos Rewards status points—suggests that’s no longer the case. We’ve reached out to Alaska Airlines to get confirmation as to whether that’s a definite change, so we’ll update this post if/when we hear back.

Quick Thoughts

Getting a $20 reward in the form of OneKeyCash is a decent return, especially if you’ll be booking a cheap one night stay somewhere.

The downside is that this promotional $20 OneKeyCash will expire after 30 days. That doesn’t give you much time to redeem it, so its value will largely depend on a) whether or not you need to book a hotel stay by July 26 (although it doesn’t have to take place by then), and b) whether or not you need to book another hotel stay after that. I imagine this offer’s utility will be minimal for many people, but it’ll be an easy $20 for those who can take advantage of it.

The names of both these Airbnb features are fairly self-explanatory. Airbnb Experiences are experiences similar to those you might book through other sites like Viator and Klook—tours, activities, dining experiences, etc. Airbnb Services meanwhile allows you to book all kinds of services from photography to makeup to catering to spa treatments and much more besides.

As a result, spending $80 in order to trigger the $40 statement credit from this Amex Offer shouldn’t be too hard if you’re interesting in any of these experiences or services, especially seeing as it’s valid on one or more purchases, so you don’t necessarily need to spend $80 in one booking.

You can make this opportunity even more rewarding by taking advantage of Delta’s partnership with Airbnb. For starters, you’ll earn 3X Delta SkyMiles on Experiences and Services (1X on stays). In addition to that, through August 6, 2026 you’ll earn 2,000 bonus SkyMiles when spending $50+ on Airbnb Experiences and Services via this separate promotion. Spending $80 and getting $40 back, as well as 2,000 bonus SkyMiles and 240 additional SkyMiles from the 3X earnings, is a very good return. If you’d otherwise be booking activities through Viator to take advantage of Viator Amex Offers and/or Chase Offers, along with shopping portal rewards, it’d be worth giving Airbnb Experiences a once-over in case this opportunity ends up being even more rewarding.

Quick Thoughts

We sometimes see rates of 30%-40% for Viator via Capital One Shopping. However, the earnings from that portal can only be redeemed for select gift card brands—it’s not true cashback.

If your Rakuten account is set up to earn cashback, you’ll get 20% which is true cashback. Alternatively, you can set your Rakuten account to earn American Express Membership Rewards points or Bilt Rewards points.

If your earning preference is Membership Rewards, you’ll earn 20X. With Bilt, you’ll earn 20X points if you have Silver status or higher in the Bilt Rewards program; if you only have entry-level Blue status with Bilt, it transfers on a 2:1 ratio and so you’d effectively be earning 10X.

There’s a new, targeted Viator Amex Offer giving $40 back when spending $250. Alternatively, there’s a Viator Chase Offer giving 8% back, but which doesn’t have a required spending threshold in order to trigger the statement credit.

This works out to be a 9.1% discount ($50 off $550 worth of gift cards) which isn’t bad, but it’s not quite as good as some other recent Newegg sales on Hotels.com gift cards. Hotels.com lets you merge up to five gift cards at a time which is helpful as you can only redeem one gift card per booking. That means you could merge $1,600 worth with a $50 card left over, while others would prefer to merge $1,150 worth with a $500 card left over (or some other combination).

Quick Thoughts

The most viable option to utilize this offer for most people will be to spend $1,000+ on an Air Canada flight. However, it’ll likely prove difficult for most people to have a qualifying transaction due to the fact that you have to spend $1,000 in a single transaction.

I imagine that many US cardholders booking cash flights with Air Canada will be booking tickets that cost less than $1,000. If there are two or more of you traveling, spending $1,000 cumulatively likely won’t work as Air Canada will presumably charge for each ticket separately and the terms specifically call out cumulative spend as not working to trigger the statement credit.

Similarly, Aeroplan award bookings should work seeing as the terms state that paying with a mix of cash and points is eligible. Again though, assuming that Aeroplan charges separately for each passenger’s taxes and fees on a single booking, it would mean that a person’s taxes and fees would need to total $1,000 or more in US dollars (that’s ~$1,407 CAD). Aeroplan taxes and fees don’t always come cheap, but $1,000+ isn’t going to be very common.

Interestingly—but also concerningly—the terms also include a warning that “Abuse of offers may result in exclusion from future offers.” That suggests Chase is keeping an eye out for people who don’t use Chase Offers in the way that they intend for them to be used, so bear that in mind when using offers such as these.

Delta Main 2X miles

This one initially seemed straightforward enough. After registering for the promotion, if you book by Thursday July 23, 2026 for flights through the end of the schedule in Main Classic or Main Extra, you’ll earn 2X SkyMiles.

However, flights have to be booked on the Beyond The Summer landing page and it seems like only routes listed there are eligible, rather than all Main Classic or Main Extra flights. Still, it’s worth registering for the promotion if you need to book Delta flights in the next couple of days just in case it’s valid on all routes.

Up to 5X on Delta gift cards

You can earn bonus miles when buying $300+ Delta gift cards, with the earning rate being based on your Delta elite status level:

• Member – 2X
• Silver – 3X
• Gold – 4X
• Platinum & Diamond – 5X

Unfortunately, a recent Delta gift card Amex Offer expired last week, so there’s no longer the ability to stack the two promotions. We also sometimes see discounts of 10% on Delta gift cards courtesy of Newegg sales, so that would generally be a much better option for people if you don’t need the gift cards right now.

You can also buy Delta gift cards from Giftcards.com. The United and Southwest shopping portals and the American Airlines and Delta shopping portals all have promotions running right now that award bonus miles/points when hitting certain spending thresholds. Those promos get triggered by purchases from Giftcards.com, so that might be a more rewarding option than buying directly from Delta/CashStar, even if you would earn 5X SkyMiles as a Platinum or Diamond member.

2K miles for Airbnb Experience or Service

In addition to being able to earn 1X SkyMile for every dollar spent on Airbnb stays, Delta recently added the ability for SkyMiles members to earn bonus miles when booking Airbnb Experiences and Services.

Through August 6, you can also earn 2,000 bonus miles when spending $50 or more on an Airbnb Experience or Service.

Up to 16X miles on Hertz rentals

This might be an appealing option if you’ll be booking any Hertz rentals in the next few weeks. When booking through Delta Cars & Stays by August 6, 2026 for Hertz rentals through March 31, 2027, you’ll earn bonus SkyMiles based on your Delta elite status:

• Member – 8X
• Silver – 10X
• Gold – 12X
• Platinum – 14X
• Diamond – 16X

4X miles on hotel stays

This offer has the same promo dates as the Hertz promo. If you book hotel stays through Delta Cars & Stays by August 6, 2026 for stays through March 31, 2027, you’ll earn 4X SkyMiles on each one. A separate promotion awarding 1X Medallion Qualifying Dollars towards status just ended, so those sadly won’t stack.

A 7% statement credit isn’t the most generous Chase Offer ever, but it’s better than nothing at all, especially if you happen to have the offer on a Hyatt credit card or another card that offers bonus points/miles on hotel expenditure.

With a limit of $50 cashback, you’ll max this out when spending $714. If your stay will cost more than that and you have this Hyatt Place Chase Offer on two or more cards, you can ask the hotel to split the cost across two or more cards, provided you ensure that each card is charged with at least $100.

Do note that this offer is only valid on one purchase, so if you have two or more upcoming Hyatt Place stays in the US and the offer is only on one of your cards, it’d make sense to redeem the offer on the most expensive of those stays to maximize your statement credit earnings.

This appears to be a highly targeted Chase Offer as my wife and I only have it on one card between us.

It’s giving 10% back when spending at least $100 and is valid on up to $500 spend due to the $50 cashback limit. If you’re lucky enough to have this offer on two or more cards and your stay is due to cost more than $500, you could ask the hotel to split the cost of the stay across two or more cards in order to earn 10% statement credits on each one.

Be aware that there are Marriott Amex Offers that are, for the most part, more generous than this Chase Offer. Those offers have recently been extended and more people have been targeted, so it’s worth checking to see if you’re targeted for those too as those have larger statement credits available. For a cheaper stay though, this Chase Offer might work better seeing as the minimum spending threshold is only $100, whereas those Amex Offers require a higher level of spend in order to trigger the statement credits.

Note that the terms of this Chase Offer state that it’s only valid on stays in the US. Chase Offers tend to be triggered by purchases more easily than Amex Offers do, so there’s a chance that it’ll still work on overseas stays, but I certainly can’t guarantee that.

Quick Thoughts

Neither of these new bonuses are quite as rewarding as the United and Southwest promos. Those other two bonuses give an opportunity to earn an effective 4X-5X bonus miles/points, whereas the American Airlines portal barely awards 2X, while the best you can do with the Delta portal is an effective bonus 3X.

Still, it’s nice to have more portal offers like these than fewer, especially because some people prefer to focus on earning miles/points with a particular airline.

Both the American and Delta portals have a card-linked in-store offer feature. Spending at those brick and mortar stores counts towards these spending thresholds, so that makes it easier to earn the bonus miles seeing as you don’t have to rely solely on online shopping.

The transfer between Wyndham and Caesars can be useful for a couple of reasons. First of all, in the past it has been a way of restarting the expiration clock on your Wyndham rewards points. If you move 30,000 points to Caesars and then move them back to Wyndham, it restarts a four-year expiration clock on those points. Do note that the process is not nearly instant. In my experience, it took about five days to move Wyndham points to Caesars. I have not moved points back from Caesars to Wyndham, but I’ve heard data points indicating that it sometimes takes weeks for the points to show up back at Wyndham Rewards. Be warned that it is not quick.

As mentioned at the top, with our Reasonable Redemption Value for Wyndham points down to 0.77 cents per point, some may find transferring to Caesars Rewards to be interesting, particularly those with plans to visit a Caesars resort. That’s because Caesars reward points can be used at a value of one cent per point toward room charges and towards Caesars’ own restaurants, spa charges, and in some cases even show tickets.

I recently spent an extended period in Las Vegas, and I would point out that a side benefit of using Caesars reward points is that it reduces the amount of tax you owe. We had a particularly expensive meal at Nobu Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, and I used a significant amount in Caesars reward points toward the cost of that bill, saving myself 8.375% in tax on several hundred dollars in charges. I think I would have saved even more if I had used reward credits to pay for a hotel room since hotel tax is 13.38% for properties on the Las Vegas Strip. I would certainly keep that in mind for a trip where I’m paying a cash rate.

One tricky thing is that the value you can get for your Caesars reward points can vary by the venue where you use them. At restaurants owned by Caesars, 100 points equal $1, a value of $0.01 per point. At restaurants that are not owned by Caesars but where you can use Caesars reward points, you’ll only get a value of 200 reward points to $1, which means $0.005 per point.

Caesars maintains a list on their website of the venues where you can redeem points, so you can see which ones qualify at $1 to $0.01 per point. Another easy method, if you’re going to a counter service place like Starbucks, is to ask them to tell you how much your Caesars reward points are worth there. By swiping my card, they could see how much money I had in Caesars reward points. Since I knew how many Caesars reward points I had, I could easily tell whether it was a value of $0.005 per point or $0.01 per point. For what it’s worth, the Starbucks in the food court at Caesars Palace does provide $0.01 per point, so I did pick up coffee there and use reward credits to pay for it.

I should point out that there are certainly opportunities to get more than one cent per point out of Wyndham reward points, so this transfer isn’t a no-brainer, but it may be useful for those who will visit Las Vegas. Since my Caesars Diamond Plus status runs into January of 2028, I think there’s a chance that we will end up going for another meal at Nobu sometime next year. I might consider transferring 60,000 Wyndham points to Caesars Rewards in order to combine that with my Diamond Celebration dinner credit for another great meal next year.

Quick Thoughts

These Marriott Amex Offers provide some great opportunities to save, particularly the $375/$150 version as that represents 40% savings if spending exactly $375.

Note that the offers are only valid for stays at properties in the U.S. and U.S. territories, the Caribbean, Canada, and Mexico. It’s valid on room rates for paid stays; taxes/fees on the stays will also count towards the spending threshold. Even if you’re booking an award stay, you can also trigger the Amex Offer statement credit for charges to your room for things like meals, spa treatments, parking, pet fees, etc.

You should also be able to lock in the value by buying a physical gift card from the front desk of a Marriott property. The bigger struggle will be finding a property that not only has physical gift cards, but a front desk employee who knows how to sell them. The terms exclude gift card purchases, but that’s because online gift card purchases aren’t processed by Marriott, so those don’t trigger the Amex Offer.

If you’ll be booking a paid stay, you can earn 2,500 bonus points per stay plus an additional elite night credit per brand courtesy of this promotion. Paid stays can also earn additional rewards if you click through to Marriott from a shopping portal.

Air France KLM Flying Blue can be a very useful rewards program. Business class awards between the United States and Europe start at 60,000 miles each way, though we sometimes see promo rewards that drop that rate to as low as 45,000 miles per way in business class (and economy class as low as 18,750 miles each way). Consider that those prices are before factoring in a transfer bonus, so if you’re able to find availability at those rates, you could use as few as 37,500 ThankYou points each way in business class or 15,625 ThankYou points each way in economy class.

Flying Blue does collect surcharges on its tickets, so expect to pay $300-$400 each way in taxes and fees on top of the miles if you’re redeeming for business class. Still, availability is often decent at reasonable prices (though not wide open at the best prices).

As a parent of young kids, one of my favorite things about Flying Blue is that kids between the ages of 2 and 11 get a 25% discount on long-haul award tickets. That’s true in any cabin, so it can make for some excellent deals for business class if you can stomach the surcharges.

Keep in mind that Flying Blue miles can also be useful for domestic Delta flights, particularly short-distance flights — if you book in advance. Delta has now eliminated partner access to awards within 21 days of departure; you’ll need to book in advance to snag a deal through Flying Blue. Still, you can sometimes book Delta flights for as few as 5,000 Flying Blue miles, so it is certainly an option that can save you miles in the right scenario.
