passed away suddenly in Vancouver on June 9, 2013 at age 85. He was predeceased by his wife Jo and his brother Omer. He has two daughters Julie (Ken) and Nancy (Mario); two sisters Grace and Shirley; two grandchildren Hannah and Reid, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver in l941. He went to King Edward High School and graduated in l946. He studied Optometry at the University of Chicago and graduated in l951, and began practicing at the Birks Building in Vancouver. In l971 he moved his family from North Vancouver to Maple Ridge. He was involved in many organizations and committees throughout his life. We will honour him and his many accomplishments at a celebration of life July 16, 2:00 pm at the Act Theater 11944 Haney Place, Maple Ridge.

Passed away on June 5th, 2013 at McKenney Creek Hospice.

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 7:45pm at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge, after a 6 month battle with Ovarian Cancer. She is survived by her loving husband Wilhelm Fengler, 3 daughters Angela & Audrey Fengler, and Petra Taylor; also left to mourn her passing are doting son in law Don Taylor, and loving grandchildren Kim and Ken Taylor. She will be deeply missed. We mourn our loss, and remain steadfast in God & Merciful Love. May she rest in peace.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 12 at 5:00pm at St. Luke’s Catholic Church – 20285 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 11:00am, also at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery. John, loving father, husband, uncle and friend passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene, daughters, Cathy, Colleen (Chris), nephew Darren Browett (Frank, Helena, Mackenzie, Mikaila) and many more loving relatives and friends.

He will always be remembered for his kindness, blue eyes and smile. Funeral Mass to be held on Friday June 14, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd. Maple Ridge). We would especially like to thank the nurses and doctors at Chilliwack Memorial Hospital (4th floor surgical ward) and McKenney Creek Hospice for their care and compassion while taking care of John. Lisa passed away at Ridge Meadows Hospital on May 31, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held in her name on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 12145 Laity Street, Maple Ridge. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at 2pm also at St. Paul’s.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Al, with his family by his side, on Friday, May 17, 2013 after a brief battle with a sudden illness. He will be forever missed by his wife of 38 years, Anne, his son, Russell and daughter-in-law, Taryn, as well as all of his extended family and dear friends both in British Columbia and Ontario. Special thanks to all of the doctors and staff at Royal Columbian Hospital who provided such compassionate care to Al and our family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Church, 1460 Lansdowne Drive (at David), Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Al’s name to the War Amps of Canada.

April 1934 -- May 2013

Lived most of his life in Coquitlam, with the last 8 years in Maple Ridge. Predeceased by parents Marie Ange and Francis D’Assise, son Edward, brothers Stan, Ray, Leo and sisters, Margarite, Alice, and Rita. Survived by wife of 51 years Fidelia, daughters, Sister Esther, Monique (Dan), and son, Lou (Deb), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brothers David and Omer and sister Jeanne.
Jules was an insulator and worked in many parts of B.C.
