Uber Technologies Inc. has hired Ruby Zefo as its first chief privacy officer, the San Francisco-based ride-hailing company announced Wednesday.
It’s a role that will allow Zefo to help create and manage Uber’s privacy policies to help protect employee and customer data. Zefo comes to Uber from another tech leader, Intel Corp., where she’s served chief privacy and security counsel since March 2013.
