U.S. Solicitor General Noel Francisco’s petition accusing American Civil Liberties Union lawyers of misleading the government in a case involving a pregnant immigrant teen’s abortion has joined those disputes in the U.S. Supreme Court that for months exist in limbo.

The justices have “relisted” the abortion case more than a dozen times since it was first filed in November. A “relist” occurs when the justices consider a petition at their private conference, take no action on it and redistribute it for the next meeting.
