Seven Israeli fathers brought allegations against former and current Israeli officials, as well as Israel-based charity organizations, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claiming they were the targets of a wide-ranging conspiracy to defraud and extort them over child support and alimony claims.

On Dec. 8, U.S. District Judge William Pauley III dismissed their case, Newman v. Jewish Agency for Israel, 16-cv-07593, citing a lack of subject matter jurisdiction as the allegations “stem exclusively from proceedings in Israel.”
