This little book is a compilation of quotes that people gave my husband and I when we got married. We simply asked everyone to enclose with their wedding invitation replies some words that they thought might help us. We were overwhelmed with great advice. Some of the quotes are made up and some are classics. There are poems, recipes, sayings, old wives’ tales and just simple common-sense advice, but overall, the outstanding quality that shines through this book is love. In the good times, in the hard times, love, being a friend when it really matters, protecting each other.
—From Shara’s Foreword

A sweet, simple coffee table book, book number 18 is Never Stop Holding Hands: and other marriage survival tips by Shara Grylls (wife of renowned adventurer Bear Grylls)

126 pages. No more than about 60 words on any given page. Pictures.

Thoughts like, "The best marriage is perhaps the one where, under the love of God, each lays his or her life down for the other."

And quotes, "If music be the food of love, play on," by William Shakespeare.

Sage advice offered, "Always retain the ability to laugh at yourself."

And, "Enjoy lots of sex."

This is a small book of lovely quotes, sage words of advice and tips on marriage.

It is perfect for the person who likes to write quotes on engagement & wedding cards or as it is used in our household, as a coffee table book.

Even though the author is clearly religious, there is nothing in this book that would offend or isolate people from a non-religious background. The words are about love, caring and consideration and the quotes are from many sources.

It has gorgeous little illustrations.

It would make a perfect add- on for a wedding present or a great engagement gift.

I would definately recommend this book as a gift to yourself and your partner!

As someone unmarried who has seen so many marriages fail, and has been thinking about marriage a lot lately, I grabbed this book because it was free. I dug up some information about the authors because they intrigued me-- for one thing they said they "loved being married" a concept foreign to me. But with these words of wisdom and a marriage that is each-other-centered instead of self-centered, I can see why. The words of wisdom were sweet, hilarious, and powerful (the illustrations were either so-so or made you outright belly laugh), and I'm passing this on to newlywed friends. A great gift.

At first I thought that this might be a book about marriage written by Shara Grylls. It is more of a collection of cute and quaint sayings about marriage which she has collected . A good quick read. The paper version would probably be a great wedding gift. I would probably use this book to find sayings about marriage to create for decoration. Not a real substantial book, but a sweet book

I recommend this book for the newlywed as well as encouragement and reminders to those who have been married for a while. It's a quick read and you can read it all at one time, or just open it randomly for some great encouragement for your marriage. This I will definitely read again. I will probably start adding this to each wedding gift from here on out. Thank you for sharing your insights from the Bible, family and friends.

This book is "just" a collection of quotes the author asked her family and friends to send to her in celebration of her wedding. Some are famous quotes from poets, the Bible, etc., some are funny (and some try to be but aren't) and many are words of advice. It doesn't sound like it would make a good book, but it does. It's an absolute delight and there are so many meaningful quotes that it's worth re-reading.

By the way, some descriptions of this book label it a "Christian" book but it really isn't-- it is for EVERYONE in love or in a relationship.

Absolutely loved this book! Was a quick but fresh look with advice for not just newlyweds but couples who have been together for awhile too! Will definitely recommend this to family and friends and have even shared a few quotes. Thanks so much for sharing

This book was just all right. It's like a coffee table book that you might flip through, which isn't really a book in my opinion. I was disappointed. I read it in under 15 minutes.

I thought it would be more words, not quotes on each page, but really it does the job and is very sweet to read.

Entertaining with some religious/moral advice thrown in. Some old chestnuts but generally amusing. One you can pick up and put down and pick up again later. It is what it is.
